Piping 管路
Piping external to the dip tank should be made of stainless steel schedule 40 seamless "A", 304 stainless steel for pipe sizes less than 2.5" Dia. Ten gauge is typical on pipe sizes greater than 3" Dia. While many mild steel systems currently exist and work well, stainless steel will give greater flexibility with future formulations. For distribution headers inside the tank, schedule 80 PVC pipe is recommended to eliminate paint build-up associated with grounded, steel headers. Mineral filled polypropylene eductors should be used for the same reason.
Welded joint construction is standard and has performed well for piping 3 inches (7.6 cm.) or larger. For smaller piping, threaded pipes with teflon- taped joints is standard. Stainless steel pipe should be welded if two inches or larger in diameter.
All runs of pipe should be pitched to permit complete drainage, and low-point drains should be installed. All drains should include a valve and a threaded cap or plug.
Piping which is normally inactive, such as weir drains and transfer lines, should also be equipped with low-point drains and flush lines. This piping should be empty of paint and water when not in use.
